Mes Amis
Chino Hills, California
To celebrate my parents’ 30th anniversary and my belated 22nd birthday, we went to a Lebanese-Mediterranean restaurant called Mes Amis, which is “My Friends” in French, I believe. I’m not sure if it means something else in a Middle Eastern dialect but that’s what came up with I popped it into Google.
To say the least, everything was delicious, filled with flavor, lycopene, proteins, fibers, and spices. That’s one reason why I love Mediterranean foods—they’re hearty and healthy, packed with nutrients that our American diet so easily omits.
The service was also wonderful. To congratulate my family for its two celebrations, the owner brought out an 800 year old recipe and congratulated my parents for making beautiful babies. hahahha.
One of the tiny joys in my life is finding a delicious restaurant with good food, good service, and reasonable pricing.
Oh, and happy 30th anniversary to Mr. & Mrs. Chu. My dad took the day off so they’re out for Chinese breakfast and a movie already m_m
